As a landlord/seller representative, Shwom creates and manages a comprehensive marketing program and provides credit analysis, an understanding of the market and assistance in identifying and resolving any issues that may delay or derail a transaction.
In the most significant real estate development transaction in modern Long Island history, Shwom acted as the exclusive agent representing Heartland Development in its acquisition of a 460-acre property from New York State. This is the future location of Heartland Town Square, the largest planned mixed-use smart growth development in downstate New York.
He has been presented with various accolades throughout his career. Most recently, CoStar recognized him for the Lease of the Year for Long Island for 2024.
Shwom graduated with honors from Emory University with a degree in economics. He also holds the CCIM (commercial certified investment member) designation from the CCIM Institute and the SIOR designation from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
